Every card is a clue. Reconstruct the secret hand.

Your guess

How to play ?

What is the goal?

Find a secret sequence of five different cards in the correct order. The solution is hidden among the ten unique cards in the daily deck.

How do you make a guess?

  1. Select five different cards from the deck.
  2. Submit the complete sequence.
  3. Read the green and yellow counters beside it.
  4. Use the history, whose newest guess appears first, to build the next sequence.

How do the counters work?

Green counter showing 2

Correctly placed cardsThe green counter shows how many cards belong to the answer and occupy the exact position.

Yellow counter showing 2

Misplaced cardsThe yellow counter shows how many cards belong to the answer but occupy another position.

The counters describe the complete guess without identifying which cards produced each result. The deck therefore remains face up.

How do you edit a guess?

Use the erase card to remove the most recent selection. The enter card becomes available when all five slots are filled.

Can cards or guesses repeat?

All secret and deck cards are unique, and a card cannot appear twice in one guess. A repeated sequence is rejected and does not increment the number of guesses.

How do you win?

You win when the green counter reaches 5 and yellow reaches 0. Guesses are unlimited.

How does the daily challenge work?

A new answer and deck become available every day at midnight, New York time. Progress is saved in this browser until the date changes.

Congratulations!

About OTadle

OTadle is a web game platform offering daily challenges, created by Ayoub Yaqine. It brings together word, letter, number and card games that run directly in the browser.

How the project began

The algorithmic design of OTadle is an idea by Ayoub Yaqine, inspired by his experience with games such as Wordle, Nerdle, Mastermind and other deduction games. He imagined more complex variants that combine several mechanics and require different forms of reasoning.

The first version of the code was developed by Ayoub Yaqine. The project is now maintained by Codex.

The secret libraries behind the words

Every letter challenge is backed by years of linguistic research. OTadle does not choose from improvised word lists: its dictionaries were prepared from established research resources.
